I bought myself a set of oxford heated grips from Halfords about a month ago and I had a look at them today to see how how I would fit them.
I can see nowhere to mount the controller that doesn't look like a bodge.
Does anyone know where i might pick up a rocker switch with 2 resistance settings? ive tried looking on Maplins/ebay but no luck. Might phone Shirlaws in the morning to price a triumph one.
Thanks
Scott

Re: Heated grip switch
ON the Mille I managed to reshape the oxford bracket and attach it to the bike using the bolt for the clutch resevoir.
I cut the bracket down and mounted it backwards on the bolt .
Give me 30 mins and I will get a picture for you .
(BTW it is 4king freezing outside)

As discussed on the phone the metal bracket in the new style grips may give you more options than the plastic one.
I still had to cut it down a bit though.

Re: Heated grip switch
Looks like halfords are selling old stock if you have the controller with the knob.
There is a bit more to the electronics in the box than a simple switch & resistors.

Re: Heated grip switch
Yes it was a scabby looking box at Halfords in Peterhead. I thought about buying them a few times and eventually checked the price with my trade card and they were around £35 so i thought why not still got the 2 year guarantee and i think it will be less fiddly with the knob.
I know there will be a fair bit to the electronics in the box but im sure it would work with a simple 3 way switch set up to work in series or parallel for a low/hi setting.
