2009 Rd1 - 21/22nd March

Round 1 this weekend folks. Format has changed slightly with a new S3 (250's) class and we are now racing both Sat and Sunday.

Only just managed to get a couple of hours on the bike last week, first time on it since Oct so I was a tad rusty. Two punctures and an inoperable slipper clutch havent helped matters.

All races at Crail this year. Will not start till about 10am buts thats just qualifiying. Races are likely to start from half 11 I think.

Hey, my bikes working, thats all Im fussed about.

We do tend to make exact timings up on the day so thats the best I can do. Not sure what Saturday is going to be like as its S3 and then Open to everyone class.

Free to watch, its not quite road racing levels. If youve not been before go past the airfield and its on the right. There is a sign for ESKC. Just follow the windy road down past the fence and you'll see it on the left.

Well not a good start to thr year . Lovely weather, bike running good, confidence was high. Good to see some other Aberdeenbikers taking part as well.
Qualifying went well and finished up 9th. 1st race, first corner, got round but it was affy tight and I ended up getting pushed into someone which ended with me going head over tail and slamming my head/hip onto the kerb. Bit dazed and confused, ended up in the nee naw and couldnt move my right hand. Drove myself to Ninewells, broken finger, thats me out for about 6 weeks .

Thanks, I was definitely confused yesterday as I dont know my left from my right. Clutch hand fubar'd. Was like an old man last night, couldnt even get out of the chair in front of the TV

Went down today and Phill was doing good on the CR till he had a wee off as well. Was hoping to do the first round of the British in two weeks but thats a non event now. Will have to wait and see what its like for the WC run as well.

tell me about it, i am sore as today! massive bruise on my forearm and my right hip.. can hardly move! but thats racing though.. didnt relise you drove yourself bud, could have given you a lift on the cr!!!!

i qualified 4th on sunday got 4th in the first race and went airbourne in the second pitty couldnt race the third.. need to get the cr sorted now.
