Re: Help Titanium welding
Pretty specialised i think for Titanium, Craig.
Think the filler rod is the issue, and has to be TIG.
Should be some offshore welding companies based in Aberdeen who can weld Titanium. Subsea, or Oceaneering, as they use Titanium on their ROV's, but they will feel they are above welding an exhaust i would think, unless you have any customers from them companies, who will arrange a casher.
This is the downside, with Titanium spoots, they crack easily.

Re: Help Titanium welding
Might be a good idea if its off the bike as most Ti welding is done in a cabinet environment if it fits as it needs to be very very clean so just using sheild gas torch is sometimes not enough. It needs to be Tig and Ti rods as using S/S or other will end in the area being very brittle.Im sure there are companys in Aberdeen who can do it but cant think of any Irvines do S/S and Ally but not sure on Ti but worth a try
