Ciggie lighter on car.
I know this is a bike site but I would I would imagine that there is some car mechanic on the site. Ciggie lighter not working on mk5 astra, all the fuses are good but still not getting power to the socket. Any ideas for other fixes. The socket is only used for chargers, sat nav etc.

If you look in the hole you will see 2 strips of metal. Remove fuse for lighter and pull up each metal strip slightly I would use a pick or small knife, replace fuse and should work. The 2 strips make contact with the lighter to make the power. If that don't work
