ZXR Indicator problem
I have recently got 1989 H1 ZXR750 but there's an annoying fault with the indicators. The flasher unit (3 prong jobbie located at left rear) was missing and when i put it in,it blew the main fuse when i tried the indicator. Is this a common problem or will i have to search for a short somewhere?I've just recently got into bikes so please excuse my ignorance!?! Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Unfortunatly it sounds like a short.
Trace back the wiring from each indicator on that side of the bike and hopefully you'll find part of the loom that has bee rubbing on something metal on the bike and worn through the sleeving in the wires. Just insulate the wires and try and prevent the rubbing in future.
If that doesn't work and the fault is somewhere else then you're going to need a bit of luck an patience to get to the bottom of it.
