Getting soaked when washing the bike

The last few times I have washed the bike down I have done it when returning from a run and still had my waterproof textiles on.

Today, got feeeeeeeking soaked, feeeeeeeking frezzzzzzzeing

Especially with the allow wheels those cleverly designed sections that can throw water back out with greater farce than the hose can generate

Filtering through the middle approaching the Kingswells roundabout, not even close to touching any motors, she came up alongside at the roundabout with her window down and was screaming at me for almost hitting her mirror!
Now, in much the same way as almost getting your Nat King is the same as NOT getting your Nat King, almost hitting her mirror is the same as NOT hitting her mirror! All the time she was ranting, her mobile phone was in her left hand!

Bemused, I carried on my way, just wishing I was there when her husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/pimp managed to get through to her that it was actually HER that was in the wrong........

Getting cut up by a car, who also forced oncoming traffic to slow down, only to find when you catch up with him at lights he's got a 'Think Bike' sticker on the back... I guess he's not used to four wheels!

Getting a face full of snow

Had to laugh tonight...the driveway had hard packed snow/ice base and the fresh snow was a few inches deep on top...the bike almost made it all the way to the top of the of the steepest bit, rear wheel spinning all the way with a nice consistent step out...then the front hit something and made me back off the power a wee bit, just enough to lose a bit of momentum...then slow to a stop, rear wheel still spinning.
After a minute or so of trying different techniques to get going including rolling back to a fresh bit of snow, then my wife returned home with my eldest lad in the 4wd, my lad jumped out of the motor and asked if I wanted a push.
I said no as it was dangerous, he said no way, then looked at the track I had ploughed and laughed at the ice.
I then backed onto a rougher bit of track, managed to get forward motion, took a route thru the garden, lining up the best straight route to the bike shed close to some conifers, , then I hit a bump that made the bike lift up just the right amount for me kiss a branch laden down with snow...shame I had my visor up (as it was steaming up with my earlier efforts)...YUK
