Stolen Bike Alert ZZR 1200

Post by scotti »

Well never thought I'd be the one posting one of these.

My silver ZZR 1200 was stolen from the drive last night, had just been washed so cover was off. Taken from Northfield area. Quite a distinctive bike so all and any information gratefully received.

Finished work at 2am and walked past it in way in but didn't want to put cover on incase I woke the neighbours and was gone when I woke at 9:30.. :-(
I'm currently up at Sheddocksley playing fields searching, hope the police find them before I do..

Full tank of fuel as well just to make it worse.

You have my utmost sympathy as I have only just about got my bike back. Mine had certainly been ridden off road so you have the right idea. I'll keep my eyes open for you, maybe about time we (us bikers) got together and co-ordinated some kind of action? Letters to the papers, mp's, msp's, the council and of course Police Scotland.

Hoping and praying Bill, still out and aware the forum is checked by police. Bad weather for riding bikes... ;-)

Hi Bill

Was just away to post here.. Got a phone call from police and bike was found behind a block of flats in Oldtown Terrace, many thanks to Breaking Point for sending their van to pick up as not able to start bike due to damage below. Aberdeen's version of SCI have already been past and got some swabs off it so keep hoping..
Damage to ignition and seat burst to get access to fuses to bypass possibly? One fairing burst open and damage to mirrors where they obviously rammed it along a wall before they decided they were not going to get it started due to a few surprises I had added earlier..
Heading over to get sorted tomorrow so hopefully back onto the seat by the weekend.

Good news. Hopefully not too expensive to repair.
