2016, vent your spleen thread…
Similar to Newton’s third law, every action has an equal but opposite reaction, to counter the “loving things†thread why not vent your spleen ranting here.

No need to keep this to biking, just get that negativity out of your system here and hopefully leave the other threads on a more positive footing.

The other evening when trying to wash the bike down, the plastic hose tap adapter snappedDave wrote:2016, vent your spleen thread…

At the time my language was hot enough to melt the snow as it was falling from the sky

So so stupid that the colder plastic gets the more brittle it becomes

So so stupid that the material the hose was made from gets ridged when close to zero deg C

Nothing wrong with the user trying to unravel the hose by giving it a wee tug, seemed like a sensible idea at the time

Re: 2016, vent your spleen thread…
I was robbed of $3500 that we had saved for a charity in Cambodia. Looked after it diligently for two weeks. On the day we drove to Phnom Penh to hand it over the driver stopped so we could have lunch. I could see the car so left the cash in a bag in the boot.
I saw a coulee of beggars across the road so forgot myself and went to buy them some food. For 2 minutes I lost sight of the car. When we arrived in PP, the cash was gone and by the time I noticed, so was the driver. .
The money was pledged so apart from having to do an e-transfer, i was nailed for the exchange rate twice!
Now that's worth a spleen vent!

I will admit that your event was ever so slightly worse than breaking a plastic hose connection…BUT, I only got a chance to rinse about quarter of my bikeGazza wrote:...Now that's worth a spleen vent!

I wonder what the character Max (Billy-Ray) limit is for posts
Can't match Gazza though and big respect for honoring the pledge
I am going to rant about people, specifically people who use terms 'Them' and 'They'. These are used as terms to describe a group / organisation / nation / or any other possible combination of humanity as a negative term and the focus for all evil.
If there is an 'us' there must be 'them' and as they are not us they are clearly wrong / bad / evil / the source of world deprivation / warmongers / fox killers / etc.
Guess what, its not them it's you. Flip the coin and you become 'them' to other groups. Everyone is 'Them' to someone. Less intolerance starts with less demonization.
I have no time for people who spit venom while using 'Them'
.....unless it's towards Big Mans Wanger drivers of course

It's a bit like being cool. However cool you may think you are, somebody else thinks you look like a tosser, points at you and laughs. It's all about perspective.
