Sigs were turned off by Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) a long time ago. Can't remember the exact reason, but I think it was due to people attaching pictures and using up bandwidth. As nobody actually pays membership these days, then Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) has to forefeit the site costs.
Which brings me to another subject.....
I suggested to Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) that he provide a Paypal account for members to contribute to on a voluntary basis. Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) felt a bit uncomfortable asking, so I'll ask......
How would members feel like sending a small donation towards the site runing costs on an annual basis? There would be no stickers/keyfobs etc promised. Any cash leftover after paying for the site could go to charity?

How about restricting access to uploading gallery pics to paid up members only. This would provide an online incentive to contribute without adversely affecting the forum.
Any idea how much we are talking about?

sorry, but I can't remember how much Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) said it cost (I was well on my way to an inebriated state at the time). I would think between £5 and £10 would be enough, with the amount being voluntary. As I said, any extra can go to charity anyway.Zathos wrote:Any idea how much we are talking about?
We'll need Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian)'s say so first anyway.
BTW, thanks for the support

So if there is no membership fee. how do we go about getting our discount from Ecosse without a valid membership card.
PS: The last time I forgot to ask for the discount, the 'lad' behind the counter with the glasses (can't remember his name) saw the key fob and said "Oh you'll get 10% off parts."
Must be age can't remember his name nor to ask for discount
PPS: Oh aye, almost forgot, I'm up for the contribution.
Now when's pension day again?

Pass. I've never used my discount. I would guess you'd get it anyway by just mentioning the club.Joe wrote:So if there is no membership fee. how do we go about getting our discount from Ecosse without a valid membership card.
