Brake Lever Switch GPZ500S

Hi Folks.

I've noticed that my brake light sometimes stays on once I've used the front brake. It's a bit worrying. I looked up my haynes manual and all it says is that the switch isn't adjustable. Does anyone have any ideas why this could be happening or how to remedy the situation?

Could it be the spring in the Master Cylinder?

Try cleaning out the switch with WD40 or similar. Depending on the type of switch it may just be gummed up with previous oils etc.
