Give Silletts a call and see if they have any pairs of Metzeler Sportec M1's on special offer. Excellent tyre that I use on both my XT & TT.

Aye ask Rab my Bandit's got the same tyres as ma dad's B.M.W (Mr.Sillets Reccomendation's) Heard no compliants fea the old man about them yet. Bandit's not doing much miles just now but grips well on them, Multicompund dunno what type. Will check when i dig it out tomorrow fea the garage (sorry i hid it fea u Gus and made u panic!)

First run for me today on 2ct's, scrubbing in? whats that then grip from the word go. You'll get change from 200 greens (but not much) well worth it

So much more confidence with these than the b/stone bt021's I had before, if you see any black lines on the kintore to dunecht road...........

My Storm's running Pilot Power 2CT's and they're bloody good!

Used them on the track without a single incident!

One of the few tyres i've had rolling off the edges by the 500 mile mark!

Highly recommended!

The 750 is running the BT-016's (I think) Plenty grip in the dry but utter pish in the wet (at least in comparison to the 2CT's)

TBF they aren't properly scrubbed in yet but TBH I'm pretty sure I'll be changing them regardless!

using BT-021 use the bike for comuting and for hooning chicken strips gone completely on the rear by 100miles. far better than the original BT-020s fitted.

but I have also tried other Blackbirds fitted with Metzler roadtecs and found the grip amazing especially on winter roads, and I've been told they last longer will be trying them on mine next time I change.

Just got a roadsmart fitted on the rear at lunch today to replace the 208. I do a lot of miles in a week so I thought I would pay a bit extra for something that would last me. I have a 207 on the front so I thought I'd stick to dunlop for the time being. I haven't been out of town yet (and wont be able to until I get back from my holiday ), but it feels like its glued to the road compared to my old tyre. so much more confidence. so much so that I have to give my apologies to the bird/busa (turquoise in colour) that I pulled out in front of on wellington road @ about 5 ish. (one of my less sane moments)

Michelin Pilot Road 2 would be my recommendation if you're using your bike every day.

On the VN I've tried

Dunlops - ok but a bit skitish in the wet
Bridgstones - didn't hack the pace
Metz - oh lovely, great grip, full confidence on the back end
Mich Road Pilot 2 - yes yes yes, I love these tyres and now run them on both the VN and the X11, highly recommend them for all weathers.

Michelin's 2CT's IMHO deffo the best tyre on the market at the mo for all round whether commuting or just having fun (was up at HH yesterday afternoon, roads quiet - obviously Lizzie's up as surface xcellent all the way up & down, sun shining, beefburger n chips mmmmmmmmmmm, all in all a fun day). Just a tad off topic of tyres.

I don't, but I went through the original Metzeler on the B MW in 2300 miles. The Michelin is on course to do over twice that. Even Pirelli Diablo Stradas and Metzeler Z6s were struggling to make it to 3500.

Some bikes are harder on their tyres than others. From my experiece with the Metzeler Sportecs they have lasted well as well as offering excellent performance that suits my riding. So if I can get a pair for less than £200 then I'll take them.

The new Dunlop Qualifier RR's are tres bon. Great grip and decent milage. Not so great inthe wet.

2000 miles out of the Corsa'3s I've got on and looks like heaps left.
Which would make them the longest lasting, grippiest tyre I've had, ever.
great in the dry, don't feel bad in the wet (I'm a fud in the wet)
sensitive to overbanding and white lines (as everything is)
