Wasnt me, but we did see the flag!! I was the guy in the yellow tee-shirt, cap and vale flag. You surely must have spotted me.......JT52 wrote:did anyone see the Saltire in the crowd near the podium ? i wonder who that could have been hmmm ???
Just got back tonight, and what an experience!! I would highly recommend it to anyone. Especially the San Marino one as Vale just stays up the road and the following he has got is unbelievable. Theres number 46 flags along every street and balcony, ours included!! We were staying in Catolica which is 10 mins on a bus from the circuit. Busses are every 10 mins to the circuit and they are packed. Very well organised though with transport and that, although there is a 15 minute walk to the entrance (depending on where you are of course)!!
The noise from the bikes is electric. We were shouting on Bradley Smith on the 1 2 5's and he did well to finish second. For the 250's we were supporting Marco Simoncelli as there are no Brits in the 250 class. But for the main race, it had to be Valentino. I have loads of photos and video footage but cannot be ar5ed sorting it out this evening as its been a long day traveling home. Oh, and I've had a few JD's this evening which doesnt help matters.
If anyone has had thoughts about going and wants to make a holiday out of it, or just go the race as we did, then dont dither about and do it. You will not ever regret it!! You have a year to save up and sort things out.
Will post pics tomorrow.
Still buzzing!!
