First moto GP of 2012
No spoilers
Good first race of the season
Brilliant race / results for both Bradle and Cruchlow
Even Edwards on the CRT did reasonably well

Realistically Edwards couldn't have hoped for a better result but had the race been a few laps longer he could have done the unbelievable
Crutchlow did really well
Looked like an old injury was making a reappearance on the podium

My hat is tipped at Pedrosa's performance too. I didn't see that coming.
Bit frustrating the whole Rossi situation. I still have my fingers crossed there.
Top effort from Mr Crutchlow though.
I see Bradley Smith lost his rear brake due to a bolt missing or something like that.
Someone will be for the high-jump there methinks.
I feel so much better now the bike racing season has now kicked off. Looking forward to the BSB aswell.

Crutchlow had a cracker. Had the race of gone on for a few extra laps I would of expected Edwards to have gone past Spies. Bring on Jerez!

Re: First moto GP of 2012
Was impressed will Cal Crutchlow.
He has to up his game this yea, as he is going to get shafted at the end of the season, so he is riding for a good bike next season. So, to beat a more experienced team mate, good stuff.
Bradley Smith is already signed to get the 2nd Tech 3 in 2013, and i can bet he will not deserve it, unless he finishes at least top 3 in Moto 2 (he won't), and Dovi will have more sponsor money to bring to Tech 3.
Lorenzo looks like he's up for it.
Stoner still the one to beat.
As for Rossi. Im a fan, but i think his head has gone. There's not to much wrong with the bike. Haydon done well, and Barbera doing well. The problem is Rossi. I think the 30 seconds to sort out the Ducati quote from Rossi and Burgess is haunting them.
Time to start his own team next season, leasing either a Yamaha or a Honda (if Lorenzo or Stoner would allow them to be supplied a bike).
There you go, Rossi and Crutchlow in the same team, on Monster / Nasto Azzuro Yamaha's for 2013.
As for Arrons link above, it looks like the toys are about to come out the pram. Is the 'im no engineer' quote a dig at Jerry Burgess?
As for Moto 2. It wont be long before someone banjo's Marc Marquez for dangerous riding, and seems to not have learned from his past despite the crash last year that very nearly ended his career. He cut up Luthi and pushed him onto the run off, and he did a very similar move where he cut right across the front of Iannoni.
