Only slight problem with the petition is I don't think it's officially called road tax - it's a vehicle license tax, but hey - worth a punt

Re: Bike Road tax
True enough - couldn't remember the precise name for it. The point is the tax has nothing to do with roads - as stated in a 2013 study...Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) wrote:It is actually called Vehicle Excise Duty.Yarek wrote:Only slight problem with the petition is I don't think it's officially called road tax - it's a vehicle license tax, but hey - worth a punt
.Although historically the road fund tax was considered a hypothecated tax to pay for the building and maintenance of the road network, this has not been so since 1937 and it is now a general revenue raising tax.

Re: Bike Road tax
And as of October this year no more paper tax disks and no more transferring tax between vehicles, should make the govt. a large fortune!
