Biker banned for drinking

Post by Feckdeamon »

A BIKER has been put off the road for a year after he was caught drink driving.

Kevin Freeborn, 51, was caught by police after he came off his motorcycle and injured his shoulder and head.

The self-employed consultant, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, where he admitted driving a motorcycle with 112 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood – the limit is 80 milligrammes.

Freeborn, whose address was given in court papers as , Cults, Aberdeen, was handed a fine of £750 as well as being disqualified from driving for one year.
When a fellow biker gets banned for 18 months with a comparable fine, for doing 106mph on a clear road, you have to wonder if there's something wrong with our justice system.

That explains it! Really it should be 0...I cannot comprehend why anyone, car or bike rider, would drink and drive.

I'm guessing it was a morning after job. I can't imagine anyone having a drink then going out on their bike afterwards. :confused
