I updated the forum software to the latest version to keep up with the latest software updates. I haven't had time to do anything with the standard template and there aren't many available to download yet with the software being so new.

One good thing about the template is that it seems to work well on mobile devices without having to use the likes of Tapatalk which removes another potential security risk.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone could still access the site since the update!

It was installed but I personally didn't use it. It is just one other thing to keep up to date that takes time and effort.

Having said all that, I've downloaded the latest version of tapatalk that works with phpBB3 3.1 and the latest forum software makes it a piece of piss to integrate tapatalk so can someone confirm if it is back up and running?

I'd say 70% of our members read via tapatalk now, and may well be the reason for things being quieter on here. i.e. everyone uses their fones now to surf the net, and with facebook around many biking forums have died of death, we've been very lucky to maintain a high level of activity but its been through endevour and implementing a few things, at a cost.

This is one of the best forums I'm on not including the homebrewers forums which seem constantly busy :cheers

Will the forum return to the old version? :confused

There are a few features not available in the current rendition that I would love to see back again some day :2up

What features are missing?

I haven't had time to get up to speed with the latest template structure for phpBB 3.1 yet. The main thing was to migrate the forum to the latest version to keep up with the security fixes.

Main feature for me was the button to view only new or current posts instead of having to shift around the board indexes??

Or am I being stupid and missing it? :oops

at the top of the page left hand side there is something called "Quick links" its above the board index and to the left of FAQ click this and it gives you what you are looking for :2up (just tried it on my Paranoid phone and its there as well.)

Pop in and have a wee read at least 2x a week.
Maybe try and get a bit more of a run with some of you this year.
