nubile needs help :-)
hi, first post.
My wife and I have just turned 30 (didnt hurt) and did our CBT's
Have bought my wife an inexpensive 125cc custom cruiser, but its an imported bike from a guy in england.
its need to be looked at as it appears to have been uncrated and the wheel put on - not much else.
It has to go through a MSVA test before it can be registered, but i think that it will need a little work first.
We have noticed that the front brake does not work, although friends have bled it - and theres no change. also strangly enough the kill switch does not work, neither does turning off the igintion to stop the engine.
can anyone recommend somewhere i can take it to in Aberdeen (we are in Alford) that could put right these teething problems.
Many Thanks
Alan

Was it a dealer you bought the bike from? If so, take it back. The thing is not fit for sale as it does not work..so you have the right to demand your dosh back.
If it was a private sale...what were you doing man?????
If you want a cheap solution, I would suggest Breaking Point in Torry who deal with imports themselves, or H&S motors near John Lewis.
If it is made by one of the big four (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki) I doubt any of the dealers in town will touch it as it is an import. They are funny when it comes to sorting imports that came out the crate wrong..can't think why..
Don't forget to check the headlight beam as well..may point the wrong way.
Good luck!!

Thanks for the help - will call some places today.
New to this - was told it was a Hongdou ( Honda Import) but when it was delivered it is a chituma (http://www.chituma.com) - which from what i can see online is a partner company of them - my chinese is not up to scratch.

You look good for thirty in the photo
I would also recommend Breaking Point in Torry .If it needs parts at least they might be able to get second hand ones and save you Cash
Good luck :I can't believe it's not butter!

You are correct, point taken and I am pleased to note you have had good service. I have deleted my post.Rustik (Reg Prescott) wrote:woah there matey, before you start spreading rumours that could potentially damage a business. I have always had my bandit serviced at Breaking point with no problems, they provide a good service, very competitive prices and helpful tips and advice. George and Dek are good guys IMHO.

UPDATE
thought I would update on the goings on.
Got the bike back yesterday from the guys at Breaking Point - thanks very much. booked it in for its MSVA test.
That was this afternoon, but unfortunatley it failed on a few minor things - will get them seen to and try again.
Cheers
