Post by McWullie »

I'm sure I have seen this question asked but cant find it & cant remember the replies :???

OK I have some Tank pads on my bike that I want to remove whats the best way of removing them? Then whats the best polisher/cleaner to clean up the area you have just taken them off of??

Also I want some clear tank pads for the side does anyone know where I can get these from??

Cheers & I'm no signing my name cause of Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) :tung

Rent-a-friend,

1. hair dryer to heat up the gum
2. pull pads off
3. either wd40 or 'sticky stuff' remover from DIY shop
4. wash with soapy water
5. have a beer
6. have a pie to go with beer
7. have another beer, seeing as you are at it
8. stick new pad on
9. have a beer
10. job done

hope it helps

No problem. I don't think they do a set specifically for the VTEC, but they do a universal set which, I assume, you could cut to shape.
