though I was disappointed in the mileage at approx 4000 miles, being a sports touring tyre I expected more. Metzeler have a new version of the Z6 which is supposed to give better mileage than the older version Z6, it is still a single compound though.

Well the from first set anyway, as Big Kneed Al (master of the emergency stop & "stand up" comedian) said, it depends on how hard you work them, lardass bike or lightweight sports bike scratching = low mileage as will heavy handed straight line hero type throttle abuse.
